One Hit Wonder starts where Wordle leaves off: a guess is already on the board, colored the way you'd expect.
Green letters are in the right spot.
Yellow letters are in the answer, but somewhere else.
Gray letters aren't in the answer at all.
Here's the twist: exactly one common five-letter word fits those clues, and that row is all the help you get.
Work out the only word that could possibly be the answer, type it in, and hit Enter. Guess wrong and the row flashes red and wipes clean, with no hints about which letters were close. Keep guessing until you hit.
The hit is worth 1,000 points, plus a point for every second under five minutes. Every wrong guess costs 100 points. The clock starts when the board appears.
